Import from MyAnimeList

Drop your MAL export (.xml or .xml.gz) from MAL's Export panel. Matches each entry against Codex's catalog by MAL id; titles we haven't indexed yet are reported as unmatched.

Import from AniList

Drop an AniList JSON export. AniList's native export is under Settings → Account → Data; third-party backups that wrap the same MediaListCollection shape also work. Matches by AniList id with a near-perfect hit rate since Codex's catalog is AniList- seeded.

Import from AniCompanion V1

Reads your V1 IndexedDB (must be on the same origin) and writes each entry to Codex. Matches by title and edition kind. Unmatched titles are skipped. Run this once per device that has V1 data — the V1 store is not modified.
